Welcome to the newest issue of Legacy’s Home Tours of 2019. Judy is not only a customer, but she has also been a loyal Legacy vendor since the day we opened our doors in 2015, assisting her daughter Julie as our handmade sign maker. She has become a close personal friend, as well has her daughter Judy, but like most moms, Judy is one of the hardest working vendors to accomplish anything and everything! Working a full-time job, Judy makes sure she meets deadlines in every aspect, and she has certainly been a blessing to Legacy! Judy has lived in her home since 2008 after returning to Texas from a 4-year stint in London where her job took her.
Judy and her precious dog Ellie, cute as can be by the way are the sole residents of her beautiful home. When Judy purchased her home, it most definitely needed a lot of work from painting, to flooring and upgrades. Judy purchased the home while still living abroad so the benefit was that all of the work and upgrades could be done while it was vacant….isn’t that the best way so no dealing with dust or clutter!
With no actual favorite part of the home Judy admits, she truly loves every aspect of her home and each room has it’s special purpose and decorated in exquisite taste. The entry way, being the first focal point you see entering has a gorgeous bench from Legacy complete with a collage wall and family pictures. Judy has loved being able to bring an elegant farmhouse look to her home and enjoys being able to use vintage pieces with gorgeous detailed accent décor.
The formal dining room with a shiplap wall of it’s own, brings out the classic farmhouse feel and is certainly a showplace for entertaining family and friends. Judy has been able to bring all areas of style into her home and make them all blend together perfectly….simply amazing!
The guest rooms are fit for royalty as they are exquisitely decorated with a French touch, but also include adorable vintage décor that are one of a kind pieces. Breathtaking describes the first glimpse of each room and she has truly out done herself with her decorating talent.
The breakfast nook is a family gathering space and decked out with eclectic and farmhouse décor that brings a relaxing atmosphere with a touch of class. Always being the central spot for friends and family over, the beautiful décor and accents always catch everyone’s attention and they are in awe.
Every room in Judy’s home has at least one piece of furniture from Legacy and Judy continues to add special pieces to her collection when one catches her eye, sometimes it’s just that “perfect” piece she can’t live without!
Because Judy and Ellie share their home together, there is no one that has an opinion….ok, well maybe her daughter Julie once in a while lol. Judy has free reign to choose her budget and her décor and she loves every minute of getting to do just that!
While continuing to work a full-time job, be a vendor at Legacy and be there for her daughter Julie going through yet more chemo treatments for her 4th bout with cancer, Judy is beyond a source of strength and support. She continues to create new products for the store almost every week and somehow found time to create this gorgeous home in the midst of it all!
