Welcome to the newest edition of Legacy’s Home Tour.Ashley has been a loyal Legacy customer from almost the beginning of our doors opening and she and her husband Nick bought their home right about the same time.Originally from the New England area, they moved to Texas 6 years ago. Excited and ready to start house hunting and being first time home buyers, the process took some time to find the perfect home in a competitive market, but they continued their search and eventually found the home of their dreams.They loved the smaller neighborhood with a larger lot size and knew when they saw it, it was the perfect one for them!
The home was move in ready but as new homes are, often very plain and so much beige! Ashley was on a mission to change things up and make it perfect for her family! Her husband Nick, whose dad owned a paint store when he was growing up, spent a lot of time painting and helping his dad with remodeling projects and became quite the pro at it. Ashley knew his talent would definitely be a blessing to them, so starting with the painting, changing the flooring, adding new trim and baseboards and even down to changing out cabinet hardware, it made such a beautiful difference. With a warm and inviting entry way, it’s just a glimpse of what a treat you’re in for when you enter the home. As Ashley puts it, they continue to add their own personal touches still to this day and always have a project going on with even more to do!

Ashley and Nick share their home with their rescue dog Maddy and enjoy spending time together at home in the little slice of heaven they’ve created. The sense of community they feel in their neighborhood was put to the test when Hurricane Harvey hit. With everyone coming together to help others, they knew they had made the right choice.
I love the warm color palette they have chosen is a gorgeous combination with a touch of traditional and farmhouse décor, making it an inviting space to enjoy. The many extra touches from Legacy are particularly special, including many furniture pieces, décor items and wall décor. The unique large wall decor with rustic saws, it’s truly a statement piece and so fitting for their home!
The kitchen opening up to the family room is a great entertaining space equipped with an adorable coffee bar set up which is inviting to even those that don’t drink coffee! The family room space where they spend a majority of their time, is full of comfort, class and indeed a beautiful and tranquil area to unwind after work and on weekends!
A favorite of Ashley’s is the master bedroom and by the gorgeous pics, it’s easy to see why! She created a beautiful and relaxing haven that has farmhouse style immersed with a little eclectic flair, making it one of the most loved and favorite places in their home.
Their guest room is gorgeous and the color combinations Ashley chose make any visitors they have fall in love with their room and the coziness and warmth it gives. They might want to just stay longer than expected!
